This contemporary home is an addition and renovation to an existing bungalow. The addition to the residence renders a seamless spatial experience when moving through the home. The intention is to blur the distinctions between the old and the new. With this strategy in mind, the concept throughout the home is the notion of fluid spaces.

This idea stretches holistically from the exterior façades to the interior. The material and colour palettes of the elevations are mirrored inside through similar warm wood tones and dark charcoal finishes, blurring the transition between interior and exterior. Similar strategies on key outdoor features – the main wooden trellis overhang at the front entry – are echoed on the interior using clean open riser wooden stairs.
